Easy appetizer recipes, Smoked Salmon recipes

When you need easy appetizers, hors d'oeuvres, dip or pate, for a special party or occasion.

Smoked Salmon Dip Recipe

Ingredients:

2 cans (6.5 oz.) smoked salmon, drained and flaked into small pieces
8 ounces nonfat cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
1 tablespoon grated onion
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon liquid smoke
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Perfect party appetizer recipe or holiday hors d’oeuvres.
Combine first 6 ingredients in a serving bowl and stir well. Cover and chill at least 2 hours. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with “Waverly” crackers or Melba rounds.

Smoked Salmon and Dill Vegetable Bites Appetizer Recipe

Low Calorie

This delicately flavored salmon dip makes a beautiful presentation for any holiday party when piped in or on multicolored vegetable pieces.

Ingredients:

1 container (8 ounces) whipped cream cheese
1 package (3 ounces) smoked salmon, finely chopped
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons Dill Weed
1 1/2 teaspoons Minced Onions
1 teaspoon Parsley Flakes
cherry tomatoes, hollowed out red and green bell pepper pieces cucumber slices celery pieces

Directions:

1. In a bowl, stir together all ingredients except vegetables.
2. Spoon or pipe with pastry tube a small amount of cheese mixture in/on each piece of vegetable.
3. Place on serving plate; cover and chill at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours.
Tip: One container (8 ounces) salmon-flavored cream cheese may be used in place of smoked salmon and whipped cream cheese.

Smoked Salmon with Dill Sauce Appetizer Recipe

Smoked Salmon is the perfect low carb appetizer, pate, or snack - salmon is healthy for you and full of omega-3 oils! This salmon recipe includes herbs and dill.

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp mayonnaise
2 Tbsp sour cream
1/8 tsp dill
1/4 tsp lemon juice
dash thyme
1 can 6.5 oz smoked salmon
capers

Mix together the mayo, sour cream, dill, lemon juice and thyme. Drizzle over smoked salmon and add capers. Enjoy!

Servings: 2
Carbs per serving: .8g

Note that the smoked salmon has 0g carbs, so you can eat as much as you want, simply drizzling more or less sauce on the pieces as you wish.

Smoked Salmon Spread Recipe



An easy appetizer spread that is delicious and always gets many compliments. Serve with “Waverly” crackers to accentuate the smoked salmon. You can add some chopped capers for more flavor, if needed. Serve on a nice plate and put the spread in a mold before serving. Yields 8 to 10 servings.

Ingredients:

2 cans (6.5 oz.) Smoked Sockeye Salmon
1 T. lemon juice
1 small green onion, chopped
1/4 t. salt
1 (8-oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 t. minced onion
1 t. prepared horseradish
1/2 t. liquid smoke

Directions:

Remove any bones or skin from salmon. In bowl, combine all ingredients and flake salmon while mixing well.
Let stand in refrigerator for 24 hours. Serve on crackers or Melba Toast.
